Terms of sale
Preamble
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (hereinafter "GTC") define the rights and obligations of Chamini Group, a limited liability company, and any natural person making a purchase via the Chamini website (hereinafter "the Customer").
They apply to all sales of handmade jewellery offered on the site and govern all orders placed by the Customer.
Any order implies the Customer's full and complete acceptance of these Terms and Conditions, who declares having read and accepted them before validating their order.
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale were last updated on 31 October 2026.
Article 1 – Legal Information
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale apply between Chamini Group, a limited liability company (SARL) with a share capital of €1,050, registered with the Trade and Companies Register under number 990 594 806, whose registered office is located at 231 rue Saint-Honoré, 75001 Paris, France, and any individual making a purchase via the Chamini website.
The Chamini website is published and operated by Chamini Group.
For any questions or complaints, the Customer can contact Chamini Group at the following address: serviceclient@chaminiparis.com
Information regarding the publication director and the hosting of the website can be found in the Legal Notice available on the website.
Article 2 – Scope and acceptance of the General Terms and Conditions
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (GTC) govern exclusively the sales of handmade costume jewellery offered by Chamini Group on the Chamini website to consumers, natural persons acting for non-professional purposes.
This website is exclusively for individual consumers. Resellers, professionals, or intermediaries acting on behalf of third parties are expressly excluded. Professionals interested in collaborating with or distributing Chamini creations are invited to contact the company to discuss the applicable terms and conditions.
Any order placed on the site implies the Customer's full, complete and unreserved acceptance of these General Terms and Conditions of Sale.
The Customer acknowledges having read the General Terms and Conditions of Sale prior to validating their order and having accepted them by proceeding with the order, in accordance with the ordering process in force on the site.
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale may be modified at any time by Chamini Group. The General Terms and Conditions of Sale applicable to each order are those in effect on the date the order is validated by the Customer.
The Customer declares that they have the legal capacity to contract and to be bound by these General Terms and Conditions of Sale.
Article 3 – Customer Account
Creating a customer account on the Chamini website is not mandatory to place an order.
The customer account allows the Customer, if they wish:
- to track the history of their orders,
- to manage their addresses
- to save favourites
The Customer remains fully responsible for the accuracy of the information provided, whether through an account or without one. Any error or omission may result in a delay or inability to deliver.
The Customer may at any time view, modify, or delete their addresses from their account, provided that this does not affect pending orders. Deleting an account does not cancel pending orders or the contractual obligations related to those orders.
Chamini Group reserves the right to retain certain information strictly necessary for order processing and compliance with legal obligations.
Article 4 – Purpose
The purpose of these General Terms and Conditions of Sale (GTC) is to define the contractual conditions under which Chamini Group sells its costume, handcrafted and handmade jewellery to the Customer via the Chamini website.
They apply to all orders placed on the site and govern all relations between Chamini Group and the Customer in the context of these sales.
These General Terms and Conditions apply to products sold by Chamini Group as described in Article 5 below. Placing an order implies full and unreserved acceptance of these General Terms and Conditions by the Customer.
Article 5 – Products
The products offered for sale are handmade jewellery, crafted using baroque and glass beads, as well as stainless steel jewellery components with fine gold plating, where specified. The precise characteristics of the beads and components are indicated on the corresponding product pages.
Each piece of jewellery is handcrafted, so slight variations in shape, colour, or appearance may occur, particularly due to the natural characteristics of baroque pearls and the specific properties of glass beads. These variations are an integral part of the handmade nature of the product and are not considered defects.
Photographs are as accurate as possible. The essential characteristics of each piece of jewellery are stated on its product page.
Slight variations may exist, particularly due to screen display settings, shooting conditions, or the handcrafted nature of the creations.
As such, for jewellery made of beads or similar elements, the number of beads may vary from one model to another depending on their size or shape, without this affecting the total length of the jewellery or its essential characteristics.
Article 6 – Price
Product prices are shown in euros (€), including all taxes (TTC).
Delivery charges are not included in the product price. Applicable rates and delivery conditions are specified on the page Delivery from the site and recalled before final order confirmation.
Chamini Group reserves the right to change its prices at any time. However, orders already confirmed will be billed at the price indicated at the time of their validation.
Welcome offer: a 10% discount on the first order is offered to customers who have a customer account or have subscribed to the newsletter. It may be used once per customer, under the conditions stated in the offer.
Article 7 – Order
The Customer places an order directly on the Chamini website. The order is considered final after validation of the shopping cart, effective payment, and receipt of an order confirmation email. The order is deemed accepted by Chamini Group upon sending this email, subject to product availability.
For more details regarding the ordering process, shipping methods and delivery times, the Customer is invited to consult the page Delivery from the site.
The Customer is responsible for the accuracy of the information provided when placing the order, including the delivery address, quantity, and model chosen. Any error or omission on their part may result in non-delivery or a non-conforming product.
The Customer may request a change of delivery address within 2 hours of order confirmation, provided that the order has not yet been prepared or shipped.
Any request for modification involving a change of delivery country is subject to prior acceptance by Chamini Group and may result in a revision of delivery charges, deadlines, taxes or applicable formalities.
Any request must be made by email to serviceclient@chaminiparis.com or via the website’s contact form. After this period, or if the order has already been prepared or shipped, Chamini Group cannot guarantee that the change will be taken into account.
Chamini Group reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order in the event of an existing dispute with the Customer, suspicion of fraud, stock shortage, or technical problem beyond its control.
Article 8 – Payment
Payment is due immediately upon ordering. Accepted payment methods are those offered on the website at the time of purchase. Transactions are secured by the website's partner payment providers, who comply with current security standards.
The order is considered valid only after full payment has been received. Chamini Group has no access to the Customer's bank details at any time and cannot be held liable for the consequences of fraudulent use of payment methods, within the limits of its contractual obligations and except in cases of proven fault on its part.
In the event of fraud or a payment-related problem, it is the Customer's responsibility to contact their bank to assert their rights.
Payment of the order implies full and complete acceptance of these Terms and Conditions by the Customer.
Article 9 – Product Availability
Products are offered subject to availability.
Chamini Group reserves the right to refuse any order in the event of stock shortage, error in product description or suspicion of fraud.
In the event of unavailability after ordering, the Customer will be informed and refunded without delay.
Article 10 – Delivery
Deliveries are made in France and Europe. Delivery times and costs vary depending on the destination and the delivery method chosen. For more information, please see our Delivery page.
Delivery times are given for information purposes only. Chamini Group cannot be held liable for delays caused by force majeure. In the event of late delivery, the Customer retains the rights granted by the French Consumer Code.
The risk of loss of or damage to the products passes to the Customer when the Customer, or a third party designated by the Customer (other than the carrier offered by Chamini Group), takes physical possession of the products.
The Customer is invited to check the condition of the products upon receipt and to report any anomaly to the carrier and to Chamini Group by email to serviceclient@chaminiparis.com or via the website’s contact form, where possible within 48 hours of delivery, in order to facilitate any claim against the carrier. This time limit does not deprive the Customer of their rights under the statutory guarantees.
For orders delivered outside the European Union, customs duties, taxes, import charges or clearance fees may be levied by the authorities of the country of delivery. These charges are borne solely by the Customer and are not covered by Chamini Group.
Article 11 – Right of withdrawal
The Customer has fourteen (14) days from receipt of their order (or of the last item, where the order is delivered in several parcels) to exercise their right of withdrawal, without having to give any reason or pay any penalty.
How to exercise this right. The Customer must inform Chamini Group of their decision before this period expires by means of an unequivocal statement: from their customer account, accessible from the website or via the following link: https://shopify.com/94934532470/account, by email to serviceclient@chaminiparis.com, or by post to Chamini Group, 231 rue Saint-Honoré, 75001 Paris, France. The Customer may use the withdrawal form set out in the Annex to these Terms and Conditions, but is not obliged to do so. Practical details are also given on the website’s Returns & Exchanges page.
A confirmation of the withdrawal request will be sent to the Customer by email.
Returning the products. The Customer must send the products back no later than fourteen (14) days after communicating their decision to withdraw, to the address provided by Chamini Group. The cost of returning the products is borne by the Customer. A tracked shipping method is recommended.
Condition of the products. The Customer may try on the jewellery as they would in a shop. The jewellery must be returned complete (pouch, card and any accessories supplied) and in good condition. The Customer is liable only for any diminished value of the jewellery resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning.
Refund. Chamini Group will refund all sums paid, including the initial delivery costs (on the basis of the least expensive standard delivery method offered), no later than fourteen (14) days from the day on which it is informed of the decision to withdraw. The refund may be withheld until the products have been received back or until the Customer has supplied proof of having sent them back, whichever is the earlier. The refund is made using the payment method used for the order, unless the Customer expressly agrees otherwise, and at no cost to the Customer.
As an exception, earrings, for reasons of hygiene and health protection, are neither returned, nor exchanged, nor refunded, in accordance with article L221-28 of the Consumer Code, once their packaging has been opened after delivery.
Article 12 – Returns outside the right of withdrawal
This article relates exclusively to return requests made outside the exercise of the legal right of withdrawal.
Any exceptional return request is left to the sole discretion of Chamini Group and does not constitute a right for the Customer in any way.
Any customs duties, taxes, import charges or clearance fees relating to the order or to the return are borne solely by the Customer.
If Chamini Group exceptionally accepts a return, the Customer must first submit a request under the terms set out on the website’s Returns & Exchanges page, via their customer account accessible from the website or via the following link:
https://shopify.com/94934532470/account
The Customer may also contact Chamini Group by email at the following address:
serviceclient@chaminiparis.com
Any return made without a prior request via the customer account or by email can only be accepted after verification and approval by our customer service.
After receiving and verifying the returned product, and subject to compliance with the acceptance conditions defined by Chamini Group, a refund, excluding delivery charges, will be issued within a maximum of fourteen (14) days from the date the products are received or the date the Customer provides proof of shipment. The refund will be issued via the payment method used for the original order.
Article 13 – Statutory guarantees
Chamini Group is bound by the statutory guarantee of conformity (Articles L217-1 to L217-32 of the French Consumer Code) and by the statutory guarantee against hidden defects (Articles 1641 to 1649 of the French Civil Code), under the conditions set out below.
For any claim under the statutory guarantees, the Customer should write to serviceclient@chaminiparis.com, stating their order number and attaching photographs of the jewellery. Where the guarantee applies, return costs are borne by Chamini Group.
Slight variations inherent in the handmade nature of the creations (shades and shapes of baroque pearls and glass beads, number of beads) do not constitute a lack of conformity. Damage resulting from impact, accident, misuse or failure to follow the care guide, and normal wear over time, are not covered by the statutory guarantees.
13.1. Information on the statutory guarantees
The consumer has two years from delivery of the goods to obtain the application of the statutory guarantee of conformity where a lack of conformity appears. During this period, the consumer only has to establish the existence of the lack of conformity and not the date on which it appeared.
The statutory guarantee of conformity entitles the consumer to have the goods repaired or replaced within thirty days of their request, free of charge and without major inconvenience to them.
If the goods are repaired under the statutory guarantee of conformity, the consumer benefits from a six-month extension of the initial guarantee.
If the consumer requests repair of the goods but the seller imposes replacement, the statutory guarantee of conformity is renewed for a period of two years from the date of replacement of the goods.
The consumer may obtain a reduction in the purchase price while keeping the goods, or terminate the contract and obtain a full refund against return of the goods, if:
- 1° the seller refuses to repair or replace the goods;
- 2° the repair or replacement of the goods takes place after a period of thirty days;
- 3° the repair or replacement of the goods causes major inconvenience to the consumer, in particular where the consumer permanently bears the cost of taking back or removing the non-conforming goods, or bears the cost of installing the repaired or replacement goods;
- 4° the lack of conformity persists despite the seller’s unsuccessful attempt to bring the goods into conformity.
The consumer is also entitled to a price reduction or to termination of the contract where the lack of conformity is so serious that it justifies an immediate price reduction or termination. In that case, the consumer is not required to request repair or replacement of the goods first.
The consumer is not entitled to terminate the sale if the lack of conformity is minor.
Any period during which the goods are immobilised for repair or replacement suspends the remaining guarantee period until the repaired goods are delivered.
The rights set out above derive from Articles L217-1 to L217-32 of the French Consumer Code.
A seller who in bad faith obstructs the application of the statutory guarantee of conformity is liable to a civil fine of up to 300,000 euros, which may be increased to 10% of average annual turnover (Article L241-5 of the French Consumer Code).
The consumer also benefits from the statutory guarantee against hidden defects under Articles 1641 to 1649 of the French Civil Code, for a period of two years from discovery of the defect. This guarantee entitles the consumer to a price reduction if the goods are kept, or to a full refund against return of the goods.
Article 14 – After-sales service
At Chamini Group, each piece of jewellery is crafted with care and delicacy. To prolong its beauty and durability, we offer a commercial after-sales service for the maintenance and repair of your jewellery.
This service is voluntary and does not replace the legal guarantees provided by law. It allows you to breathe new life into your jewellery, whether it involves replacing beads, adjusting metal components, or other technical interventions.
All our repairs are carried out with the same meticulous craftsmanship as the creation of our jewellery, respecting its aesthetics and quality.
14.1. Minor repairs
- Occasional replacement of metal components (rings, clasps, medallions) is free only when carried out alone, without intervention on the beads.
- Each piece of jewellery (excluding earrings) is eligible for one free repair per year, valid for twelve (12) months from the date of purchase.
- Free repairs cannot be carried over from one year to the next.
- Earrings are never eligible for free repairs.
14.2. Complete replacement of the beads
Any intervention on the beads requires the complete dismantling of the jewellery (cutting the stainless steel wire and complete reassembly).
Prices include VAT:
- Bracelets: €15.00
- Necklaces: €20.00
- Earrings: €20.00
- Stainless steel components: +€5.00, if replacement requested
- Supplement for jewellery over €75: +€10.00
Included in the price:
- Handcrafted work
- Repair time
- The replacement beads needed for the jewellery
Even if only some beads are damaged, the piece of jewellery must be completely disassembled and reassembled to guarantee its strength and appearance. That's why we offer a single price for the complete replacement of beads.
14.3. Conditions and limitations of coverage
- Repairs are subject to the availability of components and beads.
- Chamini reserves the right to offer equivalent components if necessary.
- Coverage may be refused if the condition of the jewellery does not allow for a technically or aesthetically satisfactory repair, or if the request clearly relates to abnormal or inappropriate use.
- The customer is responsible for all shipping costs, both to and from the customer.
- All shipments must be subject to prior agreement via email.
14.4. Philosophy and commitment
Each Chamini piece is a precious handcrafted creation.
Our after-sales service aims to extend its lifespan and preserve its beauty, while respecting the integrity of your jewellery and the value of our craftsmanship.
Article 15 – Liability
Chamini Group cannot be held responsible for damages resulting from misuse, improper use or inadequate maintenance of the jewellery.
Chamini Group cannot be held liable for any indirect or intangible damages that may arise from the purchase or use of the products.
These limitations do not apply where Chamini Group is at fault and do not deprive the Customer of the rights granted by the mandatory provisions of the French Consumer Code, in particular the statutory guarantees.
15.1. Communications by email
Information relating to orders, confirmations and invoices is transmitted by email.
The Customer acknowledges that the transmission of messages by electronic means cannot be guaranteed 100%, in particular due to anti-spam filters, technical failures or configurations specific to the recipients' email systems.
Consequently, the Company cannot be held liable in the event of non-receipt of an email.
It is the Customer's responsibility to regularly check their received messages, including spam.
Article 16 – Independence of clauses
If any clause of these General Terms and Conditions of Sale should be declared null, void or unenforceable under any legal or regulatory provision, or as a result of a final court decision, such nullity or unenforceability shall not affect the validity of the other clauses, which shall remain in full force and effect.
The parties will endeavour, to the extent possible, to replace the invalidated clause with a valid clause that comes as close as possible to the original intention of the parties.
Article 17 – Intellectual Property
All elements present on the Chamini website, including creations, jewellery, visuals, photographs, texts, logos, illustrations and content, are protected by French and international laws relating to intellectual property, in particular copyright and trademark law, and remain the exclusive property of Chamini Group.
Any reproduction, representation, modification, distribution or exploitation, in whole or in part, of the elements of the site, on any medium whatsoever, for commercial or non-commercial purposes, without prior written authorisation from Chamini Group, is strictly prohibited and may give rise to legal proceedings.
Article 18 – Personal Data
The personal data collected during the ordering process is necessary for the processing, management and monitoring of orders, as well as for the business relationship with the Customer.
This data is processed by Chamini Group, in its capacity as data controller, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable legislation.
The Customer has the right at any time to access, rectify, object to, limit and delete their personal data.
The full terms and conditions relating to the collection and processing of personal data are detailed in the Privacy Policy of the site, accessible at any time.
Article 19 – Force majeure
Chamini Group cannot be held responsible for the non-performance or delay in the performance of its obligations resulting from a force majeure event as defined by French law and jurisprudence, in particular in the event of strikes, transport disruptions, service interruptions, natural disasters, pandemics, exceptional climatic events or any other event beyond its control.
In the event of such an occurrence, the performance of Chamini Group's obligations is suspended for the duration of the event, and the Customer will be informed as soon as possible in the event of a significant delay.
Article 20 – Applicable Law and Disputes
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale are governed by French law.
In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought first. Failing an amicable agreement, the French courts will have jurisdiction, unless otherwise required by mandatory provisions applicable to the consumer.
Chamini Group reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. The Terms and Conditions applicable to each order are those in effect on the date the order is validated by the Customer.
Article 21 – Made-to-measure creations
On request by email, some jewellery can be made to measure:
- Bracelets: custom length is free up to 5 cm beyond the largest size offered, i.e. up to 22 cm. Beyond 22 cm, a supplement applies, from €3.
- Necklaces: a supplement of at least €5 is added to the price of the original necklace, depending on the length and the work required.
The quote states the price including VAT, the production time (usually one working day, which may be longer during busy periods) and the characteristics. The order becomes firm once you have accepted the quote in writing and paid.
The right of withdrawal applies to made-to-measure creations under the conditions of Article 11.
